Our Methodology | How We Evaluate HyperEVM Trading Bots
How We Evaluate Trading Bots
Our goal is simple: help you find safe, reliable trading bots on HyperEVM through objective, transparent evaluation. Every bot on HypeChain.app has been independently verified using the criteria below.
The HyperEVM Difference
Hyperliquid’s dual-layer architecture (HyperCore L1 + HyperEVM) creates unique evaluation challenges that don’t exist on other chains:
Architecture Complexity
- L1-Native bots connect directly to HyperCore for lowest latency
- HyperEVM bots use smart contracts for DeFi composability
- Dual-layer bots combine both for sophisticated strategies
Security Implications
- Non-custodial API-only bots keep keys on your device
- Custodial bots store keys on backend servers (higher risk)
- CoreWriter precompile enables atomic cross-layer operations
Why This Matters
A bot’s architecture determines what it can and cannot do. We verify these claims through documentation review, contract analysis, and technical testing.
Evaluation Criteria
We assess every bot across 5 core dimensions with specific HyperEVM considerations:
1. Custody Safety (40% weight) ⭐
Most important factor. Who controls your private keys?
Non-Custodial (Highest Score)
- API-only permissions (no withdrawal capability)
- Keys generated and stored on your device
- You can revoke access instantly
- Funds remain in your Hyperliquid account
Examples: goodcryptoX, HyperEVM Sniper Bot
Backend Custody (Lower Score)
- Platform stores encrypted keys on servers
- Requires trust in platform security
- Use dedicated wallet only
Examples: Hypurr Fun Bot, Bloom Bot
Custodial (Avoid)
- Platform holds your keys
- Direct access to your funds
- Highest risk
Current HyperEVM bots: None in this category
2. Security Verification (25% weight)
What evidence supports safety claims?
Formal Audits
- CertiK, OpenZeppelin, Trail of Bits - Tier 1 auditors
- Scope verification - What was actually audited?
- Remediation status - Were issues fixed?
Current HyperEVM: Only goodcryptoX (CertiK audited)
Track Record
- Time in production - Months vs years
- Incident history - Any exploits or breaches?
- Response quality - How were incidents handled?
Code Transparency
- Open source - Community can audit
- Closed source - Trust the vendor
- Contract verification - On-chain code matches claims
3. Architecture Verification (15% weight)
Does the bot actually work as claimed?
L1-Native Verification
- Direct HyperCore API integration
- Latency claims (<100ms typical)
- No EVM composability
HyperEVM Verification
- Smart contract deployment
- 2-second block times
- Full DeFi composability
Dual-Layer Verification (Critical)
We specifically verify dual-layer claims because they affect performance:
Required Evidence:
- CoreWriter precompile usage documentation
- Contract addresses published
- Technical specifications
- Latency benchmarks
Current Status:
- ✅ HyperEVM Sniper Bot: Documented CoreWriter usage
- ❌ Hypurr Fun Bot: No dual-layer documentation found
4. Feature Completeness (10% weight)
What can you actually do?
Core Trading
- Spot and perpetual markets
- Order types (market, limit, stop-loss)
- Leverage and margin modes
Automation
- Grid trading (adaptive ranges)
- DCA strategies
- Copy trading (wallet mirroring)
- Sniping (new token launches)
Platform Coverage
- Mobile apps (iOS/Android)
- Web interface
- Telegram bots
- API access
HyperEVM-Specific
- Native bridge integration
- Cross-layer arbitrage
- Prediction market access
5. Commercial Transparency (10% weight)
Are fees and terms clear?

- Trading fees (percentage)
- Subscription costs
- Gas fee handling
- Hidden charges
Business Model
- Revenue sharing (GOOD token, etc.)
- Affiliate programs
- Premium tiers
Disclosure Quality
- Clear documentation
- Upfront pricing
- No bait-and-switch
Scoring System
Each bot receives a 1-10 score in each category. Overall ranking weighs factors by importance:

Transparency Commitments
What We Disclose
✅ All bots reviewed - No paid placements or hidden listings
✅ Affiliate relationships - Clearly marked in reviews
✅ Last verified date - Every review shows when it was checked
✅ Confidence levels - We distinguish verified vs self-reported claims
✅ Conflict of interest - No bot can pay for favorable treatment
What We Don’t Do
❌ Accept payment for rankings - Bots cannot buy placement
❌ Guarantee profits - Markets are unpredictable
❌ Access private data - Public info and our testing only
❌ Recommend unaudited bots for large amounts - Always warn about risk
Limitations of Our Methodology
We’re transparent about constraints:
Testing scope: We can’t test every feature of every bot
Market conditions: Performance varies with volatility
Update lag: Platforms change faster than we can review
Subjectivity: Some criteria involve judgment calls
Resource constraints: Deep testing takes time (we prioritize high-impact bots)
Our commitment: Update reviews monthly or when material changes occur.
Verification Confidence Levels
